We were sent home again without treatment and so we are a little bummed. Tuesday Matt had his blood work done here and his platelets were at 104,000. We were so happy because that meant we could go to treatment. We drove over to Goodyear Tuesday night and by Wednesday morning when they took his blood again his platelets had dropped to 93,000......so NO CHEMO! It is always so depressing when we get there and then are sent home. We get ourselves all ready and psyched up for it. Oh well.....we try again next week. This will be Matt's second time at 4 weeks between treatments. The oncologist told us last time that 4 weeks between is too long. They reduced his chemo dose last time, but apparently not enough. It is all such a guessing game.
We did get a bit of good news....Matt's tumor marker went down again from 1.7 to 1.3! So hopefully that means that the chemo is still kicking you know what!!!!!
