Matt had his Ultrasound on his spleen and it is enlarged so it looks like he will have it taken out. We meet with the surgeon tomorrow morning. This is good news because we now know why his platelets are not bouncing back. The doctor told us that in most cases after a patient has the spleen removed, their platelets go back to normal and chemotherapy can be started again as soon as 2 weeks after surgery. We will have more details tomorrow am.
