We Are Off To Disneyland!!

This past week was somewhat eventful but everything turned out ok. We arrived at the cancer center early Tuesday morning. Before all of the dr appointments Matt has to have his port accessed and then blood drawn from it for the blood panels. Last time we were there the port was acting up not allowing blood to be drawn but fluids were able to go in. Well this happened again this time and so Matt was sent to have what they call a port study. A port study is basically a quick ct scan with dye put into the port to see what is going on. Matt's port was kinked and was leaking just a little.

When Matt got the first port put in his greatest fear was that it would need to be replaced sometime in the future. Well Matt faced his fears this week as he went back to surgery to have a new port put in. But I am happy to report that it went very well and Matt has experienced only a little pain with it.

Matt had the new port placed on Wed. morning and then had chemo on Wed. afternoon! He got off the pump chemo Friday night and we came home Saturday morning. Matt felt good Wed. through Saturday, but today he is feeling pretty sick and very tired. We hope that by Tuesday he will be feeling a whole lot better because we are off to DISNEYLAND!!!!!!!!

We are all so excited to go and make some great memories. I have to say that the response I have gotten from the teachers of Gabe, Gabby, and Rodrigo have been amazing! They all responded to my email telling them of our planned trip and they were all very supportive of what we are doing. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!

I will not be doing Christmas cards this year as most of you have heard from me enough this year!! :) But I do want to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year! Please, during this season and all year round, hold your loved ones close, make memories, act like someone in your family has cancer and you need to squeeze in all the love you can in a short amount of time!

We love you all and appreciate your support so much!!! MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!

Love,
The Clonts Clan
