Looking Forward to Christmas

I just wanted to let everyone know that we had a WONDERFUL trip to Disneyland!!!! We had so much fun together and all but one day the parks were basically empty so we had no problems getting on the rides. Our first night in CA we went to the Disneyland gates to get our tickets for the morning and a woman came up to us and offered us 2 passes for that night. She was tired and was going home and asked if anyone in our party wanted to go to Disneyland that night. We took them and decided that Matt should go with one of the children. We put their names in a hat and he drew out Gabe. He and Gabe spent 3 great hours together!

I was very happy that Matt seemed to have a lot of energy for the first 3 days we were there. We did take rest breaks but for the most part we were able to completely forget about cancer and just enjoy our time together as a family building fabulous memories.

Saturday was the "down" day for me. Matt was exhausted by then and his feet, because of the neurapothy, hurt really bad. We had to get him a wheel chair and it was a constant reminder of the stinking cancer! Disneyland was full of people and it was raining!!! So we saw the shows we had missed the days before and then left the park early. The kids and I went to see "Mission Impossible" while Matt rested up in hotel room.

Sunday we rested and ate lunch with some great friends who live in CA and then we packed everyone and everything....a big big feat!!, into the car and drove home. We made some very beautiful memories, took loads of pictures, and became closer as a family. Thank you Walt Disney for creating the "happiest place on earth!!"

Christmas won't be very big this year because of the trip, but we are looking forward to it nonetheless. Spending time with each other and extended family is really what Christmas is all about.

Next Wednesday Matt and I will return to the cancer center and Matt will begin the new medication. We pray that all will go well with it and he will have minimal side effects.

We hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and a beautiful and memorable New Year!!!

Love,
The Clonts Clan

P.S. I didn't do Christmas letters or cards this year......sorry!! Just know that we thank our Heavenly Father daily for all of you!!!
