Last Wednesday, April 27 we picked up Logan at the airport. He had been gone for 2 years to Romania on a mission for our church. It was a great day!! We have not had the entire family together to take a picture since 2007!
It has been a week now and I can't seem to stop smiling! Logan's homecoming has certainly been a huge ray of sunshine in this dark storm. He is slowly adjusting to American life by catching up on all of the movies and games that he missed while away!
We have been home since last Thursday and Matt is doing better than expected. His second chemo treatment made him a little more nauseated, but not near as tired. He has been to work everyday this week so far! Life feels "normal" and then every once in a while I get hit with the truth that Matt is really sick. Although he is still losing weight, he looks good and seems to have a fair amount of energy. This is definitely a major blessing for our family, to be able to enjoy this time with Logan and to be together as a family.
This coming weekend Logan will be speaking in church about his mission experiences and many family and friends will be here. We are looking forward to it. Then on Monday Matt, Logan and I leave again for Matt's 3rd chemo treatment. I will post again then. Thank you all again for being such wonderful friends and giving us the support that we need to move forward.
