Lake Powell Fun Memories then Chemo Again

Time to catch everyone up again!  We had a fantastic trip to Lake Powell and we made many wonderful memories!  What an amazing lake!  The first day we sat in our houseboat in the dock as it rained ALL day long!  But that was ok with us as we NEVER get rain in AZ!  We enjoyed relaxing, taking naps, talking with each other, going to a movie and going to dinner.  The next 3 days were perfect.  Not a cloud in the sky and the water was smooth as glass.  It wasn't hot enough to make me venture into the water, but for me just being on the boat on that beautiful lake was peaceful and filled me with a comforting calm feeling.

The day after arriving home Matt went back to chemo and this cycle has really hit him hard.  He was in bed flat without even turning on the tv for over 5 days.  This is definitely getting harder for him to manage and he has mentioned several times that maybe he needs to be done with chemo or at least take a long break from it.  Not sure if he is ready to really take that step or not, I guess we will find out at our next appt. with the oncologist next week.

Tomorrow Matt and the boys will enjoy a day of football at ASU and the girls and I will go to a memorial of a friend who passed away a few weeks ago from colon cancer.  Matt has a hard time attending these memorials and I understand that.  I want to go to show the family just how much our dear friend Rick meant to us.  This cancer world we live in is a sad one where we lose friends almost monthly.  :(
