Checking In

Hi All,
not much has been going on the past few weeks but wanted to let you all know that Matt is doing ok right now. We went to the cancer center last week and all of his blood work looked good and there were no surprises. Chemo went fine and now we are home until Feb. 9.

Matt has switched from the 5FU pump that he would normally carry around for two days after infusion, to a pill form of it that he takes everyday for two weeks. We are not sure if this new medication is the best for him. Before he would be sick and super tired for about 5 days post chemo, but now since he takes these pills everyday, he seems to be sick and tired constantly with no real break. So we are not sure if he will choose to go back to what he was doing before or not. Taking the pills allows for Matt to leave the cancer center earlier and have 3 weeks in between infusions, but if he is sick for the entire 3 weeks we are not so sure these supposed benefits are really worth it.

Matt turns the big 50 on Feb. 2!!! I can't believe it!!! Time marches on and we don't realize just how old we are getting!!
